Dr Elise Dallas is a GP and Advanced British Menopause Society (BMS) Menopause Specialist with over 22 years of clinical experience. She holds postgraduate diplomas in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Sexual & Reproductive Health, reflecting her longstanding commitment to women’s health. With a Joint Honours BSc in Human Biology and Psychology, Dr Dallas recognises that hormonal changes affect not only physical health but also emotional wellbeing, relationships, identity and quality of life. She is passionate about helping women navigate midlife with confidence through personalised, evidence-based care that looks beyond hormones.

Known for her warm, compassionate and patient-centred approach, Dr Dallas takes time to understand each woman’s symptoms, concerns and health goals. Her consultations are tailored to the individual, ensuring women feel heard, understood and empowered to make informed decisions about their health and treatment options.

Dr Dallas has particular expertise in managing complex menopause presentations and supporting women whose needs extend beyond standard treatment pathways. To meet this growing demand, she developed the specialist Complex Menopause Service at the HCA Women’s Health Centre, providing care for women with challenging symptoms, medical histories and complex treatment decisions. Working closely with a multidisciplinary network including oncologists, breast surgeons, rheumatologists, psychologists, physiotherapists, bone health specialists and weight management clinicians, she delivers joined-up, holistic care tailored to each woman’s circumstances.

What distinguishes Dr Dallas’s approach is her belief that menopause care should focus not only on symptom management but also on optimising long-term health and healthy ageing. Through the specialist menopause and midlife services she leads at The London General Practice and the Women’s Health Centre, she provides comprehensive care addressing bone, cardiovascular and metabolic health alongside sleep, cognition, mental wellbeing, sexual health and lifestyle factors. Treatment plans may include hormonal and non-hormonal therapies, lifestyle interventions and specialist referrals.

Dr Dallas also has a specialist interest in the relationship between menopause, weight management and metabolic health. She helped develop The London General Practice’s weight management service and combines nutritional, lifestyle and medical approaches, including weight-loss medication where appropriate, to support sustainable long-term outcomes.

Prior to her current roles, Dr Dallas spent more than a decade as a Partner in an NHS practice, where she led Women’s Health and Family Planning services. She later became Global Women’s Health Lead at Babylon Health, overseeing services spanning contraception, fertility, pregnancy, postnatal care and menopause.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Dallas is a recognised women’s health expert, educator and media contributor. She regularly sits on expert panels, teaches healthcare professionals internationally and provides expert commentary for publications including Cosmopolitan, RED, The Times, The Telegraph, The Daily Mail and Women’s Health. As resident doctor for Chat magazine, she is passionate about improving women’s health education through newspaper and magazine features, radio interviews, podcasts and her Instagram platform (@drelisedallas), sharing trusted, evidence-based information on menopause, weight management, healthy ageing and midlife wellbeing.

Dr Dallas has contributed expert clinical insight to several books, including Food for Menopause and Life After Weight-Loss Medication by Dr Linia Patel, and Menowars by Fiona Clark.

As an ambassador and educator for the Menopause Research and Education Fund (MREF), Dr Dallas supports healthcare professionals worldwide through evidence-based education on menopause, midlife health and healthy ageing.

Her mission is simple: to help women not only manage menopause symptoms, but optimise their long-term health, wellbeing and quality of life through expert, compassionate and truly comprehensive midlife care.
