Coronavirus: How we’re protecting you when you come into The London General Practice.

We’ve been very fortunate here at The London General Practice to have been able to stay open throughout this period and see patients for face to face Consultations.

In order to do this we’ve put some key processes in place to protect you, our Patients as well as our Doctors.  We’ve taken every precaution to prevent the virus from coming into the Practice.

Firstly we screen all patients via telephone before they come into the Practice to make sure there are no symptoms of Coronavirus. If you do have symptoms we can still assist you through our Video Consultation service, but we do ask that you stay at home in line with Government Guidelines.

For those coming into the Practice for a Consultation we ask that you arrive at the time of your appointment. You will then be met at the door by one of our Doctors who will be wearing protective equipment including a mask, apron and gloves. At this point we will also check your temperature.

During your Consultation your Doctor will maintain social distancing (keeping 2m apart) unless absolutely necessary for an examination. You may also be asked to make payment over the phone in order to limit contact with other staff in the Practice.

At the end of each day the building is thoroughly cleaned and made ready for the following day.

We have put these steps into place to make sure we can keep offering you a high level of face to face service.

Should you prefer not to come into the Practice, we offer Video Consultations which enable you to see one of our Doctors in the privacy and comfort of your own home.
