Longevity & Biological Age Testing
February 2026
In recent years, interest in longevity has grown rapidly—not only in living longer, but in living better. While life expectancy continues to rise, many people spend their later decades managing chronic conditions that compromise quality of life.
At The London General Practice, our Longevity Programme aims to change this trajectory. Through advanced diagnostics, deep biological insights, and tailored medical strategies, we strive to help patients extend not only their lifespan, but their healthspan—the years lived in good health and vitality, free from disease.
“One of the most innovative components of the programme is our integration of Biological Age testing, the most advanced biological age and functional health diagnostic tools available globally”

The Power of Biological Ageing:
A key innovation within the programme is our use of Biological Age testing—among the most advanced tools for assessing biological ageing and functional health available today.
Developed in collaboration with leading research institutions such as Harvard, Yale, and Duke, these state-of-the-art epigenetic tests analyse DNA methylation patterns to reveal highly predictive biomarkers of ageing. They measure how rapidly the body accumulates cellular damage and highlight modifiable factors that accelerate or slow this process.
Our comprehensive testing panel evaluates more than 110 biomarkers across metabolic, immune, hormonal, and neurocognitive systems. This enables us to construct a detailed picture of each patient’s physiological strengths and vulnerabilities—an essential foundation for creating a truly personalised longevity plan.
Why Longevity Medicine Matters More Than Ever
Since age remains the single greatest risk factor for most chronic diseases, addressing ageing at its biological core can dramatically lower the risk of conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, neurodegenerative disorders, and certain cancers. This emphasis on proactive rather than reactive medicine lies at the heart of our philosophy at LGP.
Research consistently shows that early detection greatly improves long-term outcomes. Regular, individualised health screenings help uncover potential risks long before symptoms appear. Early intervention enables us to correct dysfunctions, apply lifestyle and nutritional changes, and reduce the burden of disease progression.
Equally important, longevity medicine recognises the foundational role of lifestyle in healthy ageing—nutrition, sleep, physical activity, stress management, and social connection. These pillars, validated by both modern science and the lifestyles of the world’s “Blue Zones,” have a profound impact on resilience and long-term wellbeing.
