Dr Kat Lederle obtained her PhD (in Human Circadian Physiology & Behaviour) from the University of Surrey in 2010. She is a member of the British Sleep Society, the German Sleep Society and the European Sleep Society. She is also a member of The Compassionate Mind Foundation and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science.

She believes that good sleep is essential for flourishing in life – it’s what underpins your physical and mental health. Her focus is on helping individuals, and in particular menopausal women, who experience poor sleep or insomnia to sleep well again and be the person they want to be – happier, healthier and more productive. In her therapeutic sleep coaching practice she mixes her sleep science and body clock expertise with Mindfulness and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.

Dr Lederle also works with a wide range of global organisations including safety-critical industries, consultancies, pharmaceutical companies and public bodies. She is author Sleep Sense, a practical introduction to sleep, and frequently appears in the media on topics relating to sleep and the body clock.

Dr Lederle is fluent in German and English.
