How effective is it?
According to a press release by Pfizer itself there was 100% efficacy against COVID-19 amongst those aged 12-15 years old in the United States without a prior history of infection.

18 cases of COVID-19 were observed in the placebo group and none in the vaccinated group.

The vaccine also elicited a strong neutralising antibody response, one month after the second dose and side-effects were similar to those observed amongst participants aged 16-25 as in previous trials.

In the press release, Pfizer also commented that they were evaluating the safety, tolerability and immunogenicity of the vaccine in children 6 months to 11 years of age.

Clearly this is very enterprising, and we look forward to the results.

The London General Practice commends the UK government on its vaccination programme and encourages all those who are eligible to have the vaccine when called for uptake.
