Dr Elise Dallas, Menopause specialist at The London General Practice, contributes to an article looking at Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and whether you need it.

Hormone replacement therapy is medication commonly used in the treatment of Menopause. HRT contains oestrogen and is taken in the form of tablets, gels, patches, sprays, creams and pessaries. As our bodies stop making oestrogen during menopause HRT aims to treat menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, low mood, anxiety, and vaginal discomfort.
