January is cervical cancer awareness month represented by teal and white cancer ribbons.

Symptoms of cervical cancer usually present as abnormal vaginal bleeding. This can be bleeding in between periods, after intercourse or bleeding after the menopause. It can also present as an unusual or bloody discharge, pain during sex or pain in the pelvic region.
